We offer perfect tranquility, superb accommodation and exquisite cuisine to make your stay with us a memorable experience. Namibia is a world on its own! Treat yourself with a walk in nature to experience our lustrous vegetation at Ugab Terrace Lodge.
Day 7 - Etosha Halali Restcamp
Strategically located halfway between Okaukuejo and Namutoni, inside the Etosha National Park, (approximately 70km either way) Halali is situated at the base of a dolomite hill, amongst shady Mopane trees, and provides an ambiance of tranquility and space. It is surrounded by some of the most popular waterholes in the park. A flood-lit waterhole which is viewed from an elevated vantage point within the camp provides exceptional wildlife viewing throughout the day and into the night. Secluded chalets, with elevated patios overlooking the surrounding landscape are ideal for relaxing after a long day, under the magnificent African sky.
Day 8 - Etosha Namutoni Restcamp
Namutoni is situated on the eastern side of Etosha, and derives its name from the old German fort around which it is built. The presence of the fort gives Namutoni more character than the other rest camps in Etosha, and in terms of accommodation this is probably the best of the three rest camps. During 2007 the accommodation at Namutoni was completely overhauled with the intention of making this a luxury camp inside the Etosha National Park. The Fort, which is for pedestrians only and overlooks the King Nehale waterhole, is the hub of activity with two restaurants, a relaxation lounge, a bar, crafts boutique, curio shop, jewelers and bookstore. An elevated decked walkway along the water-hole provides views of the surrounding scenery, wildlife and spectacular sunsets.
Day 9 - Hakusembe River Lodge
Entering Hakusembe River Lodge at the end of the winding gravel track, you are greeted with a refreshing image of green lawn, large trees, a collection of thatched chalets and a strip of sparkling river. Instantaneously the fresh balm of beauty soothes your weary soul. You have reached the verdant Hakusembe river oasis. A feeling of calm descends. And it remains present for the time of your visit. River birds fly up between the reeds, people row their dugout canoes on the river and soft muted sounds float over the waters from the villages on the far bank. As you sit on the floating deck, legs up, book in hand absorbing the peace to the accompaniment of bird calls and the gentle splashing of water, all worldly worries float away.
Those who can muster the energy to move can cool off at the pool in the luxuriant garden, try their luck at catching the elusive tiger fish, take a stroll to the Mbunza cultural village and hop aboard the Hakusembe River Queen. Situated 16km from Rundu in the Kavango region, this gem of a lodge (with campsite) provides that necessary break from the road. It's one of the Caprivi accommodation treasures to discover - and frequent - when in the northern reaches of the country. It will soon be etched into itineraries, breaking the long haul from Windhoek and Etosha to the Zambezi and Vic Falls. Excitement builds up as you turn onto the entrance road and relief washes over you as you reach Hakusembe River Lodge
Day 10 - Namushasha River Lodge
Namushasha River Lodge celebrates the wonders of the Zambezi water world with accommodation fit for a king. There's a magic, a feeling or a charm that enraptures you in these northern realms. With elephants, hippos, myriad bird species, waterlilies and African bush, a visit to Namushasha provides an enriching adventure into Nature - to the accompaniment of the chiming of reed frogs, bird calls, hippo grunts and the soothing sound of a boat skimming through water. Namushasha's impressive central entrance with wooden chandelier and carved animals leads guests into the attractive lodge set between the trees, in true African style. The dining room, with its high thatched roof, is open on the sides to the river world, providing a suitable - and airy - welcome to wonderland.
One of the captivating Caprivi lodges, Namushasha River Lodge offers guests a superlative choice of exciting activities: Stroll past the green-lawned campsite visited at night by hefty hippos to the traditional heritage centre (here, you'll be able to learn about the Caprivian way of life from the Caprivians themselves who welcome you to their centre under a giant baobab and sweet-smelling thatch for song, dance and laughter); hop aboard the river boats for early morning or late afternoon river cruises to explore the channels and discover the diverse bird life; or take a trip to the Bwabwata National Park, first by boat along the waterways to later transfer to a game vehicle for an excursion into African bush. At the end of the day, there's nothing that can quite compare to a red Caprivi sunset. Whether teetotaller or not, you'll want to have something in hand to toast the day. Situated 24km south of Kongola on the C49 (D3501), Namushasha is the perfect stopover en route to Victoria Falls - or a grand destination in itself. Be enraptured.
Day 11 & 12 - Chobe Safari Lodge
Chobe Safari Lodge is situated in Kasane on the banks of the Chobe River and shares a border with Chobe National Park. Right on our doorstep is the meeting of four African countries: Botswana, Namibia,
Zimbabwe and Zambia. Chobe Safari Lodge therefore offers an excellent getaway location to Chobe, Victoria Falls or Caprivi. Along with many species of big game, Chobe National Park boasts the largest concentration of elephant in Africa, and our game drives and boat cruises offer visitors the opportunity to witness this amazing spectacle. Due to our physical location we are also in the position to offer you a variety of other activities.
Day 13 & 14 - Zambezi River Lodge
A'Zambezi River Lodge is located in Victoria Falls, nestling on the banks of the mighty Zambezi river within the periphery of the Zambezi National Park. The imaginative architecture with its sweeping curve of grass thatch blends well with the lash green lawns. A'Zambezi is the perfect retreat to relax and unwind in the quiet ambience of the African wild life and nature, whilst enjoying renowned services.
