For those looking to work on their tan, the summer months fall from November to February. While the volume of holiday-goers does increase during this time, temperatures average 26 degrees Celsius; making for perfect beach weather. The winter months stretch from June to August, and while the region experience some rainfall and temperatures that average around 16 degrees Celsius, the foggy beaches are almost more picturesque in the colder months, not to mention the fact that you won’t be fighting the crowds. Another benefit of travelling this route in winter is the chance to see Southern Right Whales off the shores of Plettenberg Bay.
