The tour starts at 15h00 with a pre-departure meeting at the hotel. We overnight on the banks of the Chobe River. Chobe is famous for its beautiful scenery, magnificent sunsets and abundance of wildlife and birdlife. We relax on a sunset game-viewing cruise on the Chobe River. Departing after breakfast, we travel through Botswana to the Nata area. Late afternoon we visit the Makgadikgadi Pans for a truly unforgettable sunset over what remains of an ancient 6500km2 lake. Overnight Nata Lodge (or similar). (Accommodated – B & D)
A 3 hour drive takes us to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango delta and Moremi game reserve. We change from our overland vehicle into open 4×4 vehicles and proceed to our accommodation situated at the edge of Moremi game reserve. Moremi is lush and varied, shallow flooded pans, plains and forests. It is one of Africa’s finest areas for wildlife, with particularly high game densities including all major naturally occurring herbivore and carnivore species in the region and over 400 species of birds. Days are spent enjoying morning and afternoon game drives in the private concession and inside Moremi. Overnight Mogothlo Safari Lodge (or similar). (Accommodated – B & D. Lunch on day 5 included)
A 2 hour transfer takes us back to Maun. The afternoon is free for an optional 1 hr scenic flight over the vast Okavango Delta (own expense). Overnight Cresta Maun Hotel (or similar). (Accommodated – B & D)

Driving round the pan handle we traverse to the north west of the Okavango Delta. We arrive at Swamp Stop where we leave our vehicle and enjoy a 2 – 3 hour scenic boat trip to our accommodation in the heart of the Okavango Delta. The following day is spent exploring the delta on boat rides, mokoro’s and guided game walks on the small islands of the Delta. Overnight Pepere Island – Fixed Meru style tents with en suite facilities (Accommodated – B & D. Lunch in day 8 included)
Departing the Delta by boat we return to our vehicle and we cross into Namibia. We continue to the Eastern side of the Caprivi Strip and arrive at our lodge overlooking the flood plains of the Kwando River. A lush area teeming with wildlife and birdlife. Overnight Camp Kwando (or similar accommodation). (Accommodated – B & D)
We transit through Botswana and travel to Victoria Falls – without doubt one of the greatest and most spectacular sights in Africa. The afternoon and following day are spent at leisure to browse the local markets, to experience the many optional activities on offer in the adrenalin capital of Africa including white water rafting, bungi jumping, microlighting/ airplane or helicopter flights over the Falls, and to visit the Falls (own expense). Overnight at Cresta Sprayview hotel (or similar).

This is the rainy season for Namibia & Botswana. Hot & humid with some days bright and sunny and others grey & wet with cooling afternoon thunderstorms.
Rainy season is over! Colorful and lush with clear blue skies. Moderate day temperatures with game starting to concentrate around permanent water as pans start to dry out.
No rain with crisp, clear days around 25 degrees and night temperatures 0-10 degrees. Game viewing excellent and migratory birds start arriving in August. Best time for safari!
The driest month of the year with daily temperatures 30+ degrees. Excellent time for big game safaris.
Hot days with the start of the afternoon African thuderstorms. This is Calving season and good game viewing with many migrant birds present.
