Overview

Travel through the scenic Panorama Route to the famous Kruger National Park. Visit the beautiful and rich in history Mapungubwe National Park before crossing into Botswana and soak in the unforgettable Makgadikgadi pans. Relax on the banks of the Chobe River and experience breath taking sunsets and game viewing in the Chobe National Park. Ending the tour with the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls.

11 nights accommodated in hotels / lodges / tented camps. All en-suite.


11 breakfasts, 6 dinners. All lunches own account.


Tour is operated in a 16 seater Mercedes Sprinter vehicle.


Group Size is from four to sixteen travellers.

This tour is a lodge tour using three to four star lodges, all with private en-suite facilities. One staff member takes care of the driving and guiding and hosting the clients while on tour. All breakfasts and dinners are enjoyed in the lodges.

Itinerary

On arrival clients are transferred to their hotel. The tour starts with a pre departure meeting at 18h00 in the reception of the hotel. Overnight at Safari Club (or similar). (Accommodated with dinner included).

We depart Safari Club in Johannesburg at 08h00 and travel to the famous Kruger National Park. The largest game reserve in South Africa is home to the Big Five, as well as numerous other species of fauna and flora.

Day 2 – spend the day exploring the Panorama Route of Blyde River Canyon, Bourkes Luck Potholes & Gods Window. We arrive late afternoon to our lodge.

Day 3 – full day game drive inside the park in open 4×4 vehicles.

Overnight at Hippo Hollow Estate or similar. (Accommodated – Breakfasts included. Lunches & dinners own expense)

We depart the Kruger area and travel north through the Limpopo Province towards the Botswana border. Mapungubwe National Park and Mapungubwe Hill is the centre of the World Heritage Landscape where the first southern African kingdom was established in the 13th Century and San rock art sites.

Day 6: In the morning we enjoy a morning walk to view the Kaoxa Bushman paintings and a Sunset drive with spectacular views over the Baobab laden landscape.

Overnight Mopane Bush Lodge Wilderness Tented Camp (or similar). (Accommodated – Breakfasts & Dinners included. Lunches own expense)

Departing after breakfast we cross into Botswana and travel to the Nata area. Late afternoon or the following morning we visit the Makgadikgadi Pans. Overnight Nata Lodge (or similar). (Accommodated – Breakfast & Dinner included. Lunch own expense)

We travel north to Kasane and our lodge situated on the banks of the Chobe River. Chobe is famous for its beautiful scenery, magnificent sunsets and abundance of wildlife and birdlife. The following day is spent on an early morning Game drive in Chobe National Park and a sunset Game viewing boat cruise on the Chobe River. Overnight Chobe Safari Lodge (or similar). (Accommodated – Breakfasts & Dinners included. Lunches own expense)

We arrive midday to Victoria Falls – without doubt one of the greatest and most spectacular sights in Africa (entrance own account). The days are free to browse the local markets and to experience the many optional activities on offer in the adrenalin capital of Africa including helicopter flights over the Falls, sunset boat cruise etc (own expense).

Overnight Sprayview Hotel (or similar).
