18 MARCH 2020 || As of right now, all tours departing in March and April 2020 have been cancelled. Kiboko Adventures tours are still open for bookings from May but will be keeping a close eye on the situation and this could change at any point. So far the COVID 19 virus has not hit us in great numbers – we travel in hot, remote areas in the desert or National Parks where there are no crowds of people. So in some ways an ideal getaway from the panic which has set in around the world.
What are we doing?
Kiboko provides hand soap and water tanks on our Overland trucks. Our staff have been told to request every client to please wash their hands thoroughly every time they exit and enter the vehicle. We will ensure that the water tanks are continuously filled.
Kiboko has relaxed our Cancellation terms to encourage clients to book ahead:
NEW bookings made from 02 March 2020 on a Kiboko Adventures tour in 2020:
CAMPING TOURS:
NO CANCELLATION FEES for any new bookings which cancel more than 30 days prior to departure.
Should clients cancel their tour LESS than 30 days before departure then standard Cancellation terms apply – see below
LODGE TOURS:
NO CANCELLATION FEES for any new bookings which cancel more than 60 days prior to departure.
Should clients cancel their tour LESS than 60 days before departure then standard Cancellation terms apply – see below.
STANDARD CANCELLATIONS TERMS
If a booking is cancelled with the consent of Kiboko, Kiboko shall retain the full deposit. If the booking is cancelled less than forty-two days before departure, Kiboko shall retain the full deposit and a cancellation fee will be payable by the client as follows:
41 – 29 days 40% of total fare
28 – 14 days 60% of total fare
13 – 0 days 100% of total fare
Cancellation insurance is compulsory for all Kiboko tours. It is the client’s responsibility to arrange cancellation insurance. Should a client fail to join a tour after a departure or leave prior to its completion, no refund or liability will be accepted by Kiboko.
